Coach Aubrey

My volleyball career started in the fourth grade when I played on a city league team with other elementary-aged kids. Even at a young age, I knew this game meant the world to me. I practiced my serve and ball control every day. I remember being so eager to be one of the first ones on my team to consistently get the ball over the net. Once I checked that off the list, I was and still am eager to grow as a player and coach in this sport. Growing volleyball IQ, perfecting technique, and adapting to the ever-changing rules of the game are just a few things that make it so compelling.

Education

Texas A&M B.S. in Sport Management with a minor in Psychology (Sport Psychology)

While at Texas A&M, I studied coaching frameworks, Sports law, and, most importantly, the essential tools to encourage athletes to perform at their best. I encourage athletes to use goal-setting, positive self-talk, and positive imagery to reach new heights in their volleyball careers. My coaching specialties lean toward defensive positions (D.S./Libero and serve receive) techniques and leadership growth (on and off the court). I help athletes perform better mentally, which accelerates their physical success and leads to overall improvement. I want to help all athletes reach their goals for however long they want to play this fantastic game!
